I am now certain that we are kindred. Bloomability, Mary Bloody Mary, Speak...yes, yes, yes, yes. All of these shaped me. Great post!
what great picks, i have read and love most of the books. it has been quite some time though, i need to reread them.
This is a great post, Mandy. I loved The Luckiest Girl when I was growing up, and Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles was a fave of mine too.
I am a huge fan of the Travelling Pants books (not so much the movies, though) and I recently devoured all three Hunger Games books. Amazing!
Mandy gave me Star Girl for Christmas in 8th grade...I still love her for that. Still one of the greatest presents I
I've ever received.
these are all deff good books
what an awesome collection of favorites! I remember reading a few of those in my young teens!
I love that you posted book lists! I'm always looking for new books. Can't wait to read some of thes.

So nice to know a fellow avid reader!! Those are some great reads, I say.
This is why I adore you and your blog. I need to revisit some of these favorites and read the ones I haven't!
Oh man, this took me back! I love Babysitters Club, Hunger Games and a couple others and can't wait to read the others- they are added to my list:-) Have a great night!
I haven't read most of those!
Did you read the little house on the prairie series? Those are my absolute favorite from childhood. Probably read each of them ten times, and refer back to them in my life more that you would think.
I 100% agree with every book you listed. I too read all of those as a kid, and sometimes wish that I was young again so that I can reread them and not look like a crazy lazy on the train lol!
Don't you sometimes think that there are better books for kids out there than for adults? Thank goodness for Harry Potter.
We share so many of the same favorites :)
Danka for putting up Mary Bloody Mary. Who knew that would spark my history obsession? :)
these brought back such fun memories! bloomability is one of my absolute favorites! :)
