Honest to Blog

Photobucket

I have friends tell me all the time that they read my blog. I have had people in my classes introduce themselves to tell me that they read it - even when I have never met them before. I have even been approached in stores and in public by those who read my blog.

I admit, I started my blog when I was a freshman in college because I was a bad journal writer and I wanted my ex-boyfriend to be able to read what I was thinking about him (so sad but true). It has evolved into something that I don't only love and look forward to, but also something therapeutic for me. It made me realize that I enjoy writing and that others actually read what I write. I have also made friends in unexpected places that I actually rely on and trust.

That being said, I know I have readers. What do you readers like to read about? My thoughts, stories about things that have happened to me, poems, design? Do you want to see what I wear? How I decorate my apartment? Or are there enough blogs like that?

I am not a talented photographer, I don't have any experience with cooking really and I am a wanna-be interior designer. I am not going to pretend I am an expert on anything really. So if we can just be honest for a minute, what do you like about my blog (if anything) and what would you like to see more of?

Your writing really sets you apart from other bloggers, so don't change that at all. It would be fun to see more pictures of you and your apartment. I would love to see more of your personal style and home. Again, don't change much, your blog is popular for a reason. I love how different it is from other blogs I read. And don't worry about taking great pictures, we'll love it anyway.

I like that you tell it as it is. Your one post awhile after your wedding was so true: life as a wife and husband isn't all rainbows and lolipops, it real and hard work. I liked your honesty, not enough of that out there.

Your writing is what keeps me coming back, but I'd love to see more details of your home and life if you wanted too~ don't change much, though. I think you've already got quite the following! :)

the pictures, the poems, the beautiful face of yours and hubby kev, the entire eloquent-cy, thats not a word but i made it to be. just it all. also, you definitely don't proclaim your life to be as perfect as heaven is and i like that cause those blogs suck.

I love your insights, how you put your point of view into words. It's great writing. And knowing you from freshman year as well, I actually know you're an amazing person so I like to see how you've been and stuff. :)

I love that you have variety! It's a mix of design, poetry, and every day occurences, which I find to be great. There's always something new! You do have great design taste, by the way, and you have me wanting to buy everything you post about!!

To be honest, I just read because it's you. And I will like anything you do--I think it's funny that we weren't good friends in high school, but I just think the world of you now. Funny how life goes right?

I really like the mix (of words, design, life) you have going on right now.

Mans I don't know how else to describe it, but you have the most amazing gift of observation, the way you see the world is wonderful. That's my favorite thing about your blog :)

Your writing is very thought provoking and beautiful. I would love to see more of your thoughts and poems. There are enough fashion/design bloggers and it's refreshing to read a blog that is enlightening!

haha I totally appreciate your honesty. I definitely started my blog as a way for friends to see what I am up to (saving me hours of phone conversations) and just to vent about how I was feeling... now it's something I love and look forward to as well! just keep doing what you are doing, your blog is so cute! :)
