publisher?
So I kind of stopped posting around here because most of my time has been focused on my book. A book. I wrote one. It's still hard for me to wrap my mind around that.
It's taken the better part of two years and it has been the hardest, most terrifying, and most rewarding thing I have ever done. I'm so proud of it, and I love the story and I want other people to read it and love it too.
But I have no idea what to do next. So much time has been spent on the writing part, that I haven't even considered what would happen once it is done. I've done research on agents and query letters etc. since I finished but I still feel so lost.
Does anyone have any advice for me? Connections? Suggestions? It's so scary thinking that something you love so much could be turned down repeatedly but I love it enough that I think I'm brave enough to try.
Thanks. Love you guys.

I'm so glad you're reaching out--I loved chatting about writing and publishing and the like on our drive back to Alpine a few months ago. Selfishly, I wish I had a million contacts in publishing. I really want to read this book.
So proud of you Mands! You're amazing. Can't wait to read it and see what the future holds for your book!
I am sorry I am no help to you in this area, but I can't wait to read your book. I know it will be amazing!
Congratulations Mandy! I'm so happy for you and this amazing accomplishment. I can't wait to read your book.
Bah, I have ZERO advice as I'm still in the very beginnings of the writing process, but Shannon Hale'e website has a section titled "the publication poop" (really) and that might help you with some of your questions.
Also, check out this website, http://blog.nathanbransford.com, under the sidebar publishing essentials. I know this guy doesn't write in your genre but his website is supposed to be one of the best for writers.
I would love to hear what you learned about writing and yourself, and the whole painful, rewarding, process.
Congrats again!
I have finished reading the final product and it is awesome. I can't wait to see what happens next.
you are absolutely incredible!! i can't wait to read it. look at you, living your dreams.
Mandy, my sister got a publishing deal a few years ago through Harper Teen and now has 4 books published and 3 more to come. She has done really well with this company and has an awesome agent.
Her blog is www.kierstenwrites.blogspot.com and her agent info is http://www.wolfsonliterary.com. I am sure you write a totally different genre than her, but it is worth a shot!
Anyway, hope that helps! That is all I know about the writing world but just thought I'd share.
Mandy,
I want to read this. Bad. I'm not sure if you've ever heard of Kickstarter, but it's an amazing crowd funding project (that only recently became a legal thing to do), and many people post projects to get books published. I think with your style you could raise a lot of support.

Check it out! Many people have had success with this!
Sorry I'm no help, but I can't wait to read it!!!! :)
What an achievement. I cant even imagine what it takes to write a book.
Do you know Heather Ostler from high school? She wrote and published a book!! I'm sure she could get you pointed in the right direction. Let me know if you want to talk to her.
you are amazing mandy! i can't wait to read it.
