this is just to say

if my life were a book,
it would be a book of poems,
with the occasional broadway musical
and harmonics in high places.

a short, yet complex piece
wherein i am the heroine
despite my lack of courage.

and in this book
there are episodes of calm,
and longer stretches of tired.
but always, there is love.

this book ends happily,
(because the author is
the one who chooses
those things).

and the author is me.
and the book is my life.

forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold

i love that poem.
but i really love yours.

it is wonderful that we write our own lives, isn't it? we can choose the words, and the pauses, and the tone. i think you're such a neat lady.

I would definitely read your life poems!

Have you seen this: http://www.marriedtothesea.com/061809/dear-william.gif ? Very funny reference to that poem.

I've missed your blog. And your poetry. And you, in general.

(I feel like I am already gone, too.)

One day, in a near future week, let's plan a lunch. Because I have, oh, so much to tell you.
