New Eyes

I got Lasik eye surgery on Friday, and all of a sudden I see what I was missing before - without the help of a lens.

The white curvy lines on my ceiling when I first wake up.
The individual leaves on the trees - and how the yellow fades into the green.
The vivacity of the fuchsia orchid on my window sill.

All with my own eyes.
My own lens.

"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it."
- Roald Dahl

MANDS I FIND OUT YOU GoT LASIK THROUGH YOUR BLOG!?!?! Why didn't you tell me this when we were chatting last week? That is so great!!!! I knew you would love it!!!!! Mitch went through so much artifical tear stuff after his. I'm not at home to get more for you if you need it, but my dad can easily get stuff for you if you need it.

Good time to get it too since the weather is getting too cold for swimming. Love you.

Ironic that you mention this today, because I just found out while at the DMV this morning, that I am apparently blind. Okay, not really, but I have to go see an eye doctor and get glasses...Maybe I will have to consider lasik eye surgery...Hope you're doing well!

How exciting! Was it kind of scary?

exciting! My mom got it prob ten years ago and loved it... though it has started to wear off a bit.

If I ever have to wear glasses, and I can afford it, I'd totally get it done!

CONGRATS ON LASIK
and mandy :
not. at. all.

hahahahaha oh grandmas.
that's not alot of pressure for the new boyfriend or anything.

the most amazing thing about facebook is that "deleting it" means really that it is "Deactivated" meaning that if you ever want pictures that are on there, you can just sign back in!
SO, instead of wondering, will i miss it?
you KNOW it will always be there, and by knowing that your pics aren't gone forever, it's WAY EASY to let go :)
i honestly. honestly. honestly.
miss it 0%
which is weird, considering i went on the thing every day!
and 1/5 isn't worth the risk.
i didn't know that!
adios facebook.
and plus blogs are so much better :)

wow lasik...I had no idea you were getting lasik. I would be scared. I'm glad it went well. Hope the recovery is still going well! I think I may need it in a few years. My eyes are just getting worse and worse.
