Sometimes

I feel so proud of myself for doing things.
Not even big things.
Writing papers, doing my laundry, reading hundreds of pages.
Kevin jokingly told me today, "Mandy, you are an adult."
And sometimes I pretend like I'm not.
But sometimes I surprise myself,
And do things that I can be proud of.

And it reminds me that I can do hard things.
Do you ever feel like that?

Mandy, I do this too. I feel so proud when I floss my teeth (I'm not too good with that), when I pay a bill, when I go to the doctor's office BY MYSELF!

Haha, I guess that's what twenty-one year-olds are supposed to do. But that doesn't make it any less praiseworthy. Right?

I feel the same way too! When you get married Mands, you will have many of those moments when you feel proud of yourself! like cooking dinner for the two of you, being a good wife, etc. But you still feel like a kid too! I still haven't seen you, it is rediculous! where do you study on campus?

Oh my, me too.
Yesterday I felt so accomplished for finishing a project at work.

Hello, I get paid to finish projects.

I turned 23 two days ago, and I'm still surprised at myself when I get the oil changed in my car, or vacuum--that was always dad's job, right?

Getting little things done during the day, makes me feel like I'm able to relax at night. Especially homework, cleaning, paying bills, huge sigh of relief. Maybe even eating would go in there too.
I just found your blog & it's lovely!

Just stumbled across your blog and adore it! I like to do things for myself too. It's a great feeling. New follower and just wanted to say hi! Happy Saturday.
