Sisters

Photobucket

Kevin and I talk about whether we have a boy or girl first, what we will name our future children, how we will raise them, and I always say that I don't care if we have boys or girls, and I kind of mean it.

But then I think of my sisters, and how lucky I am to have so many who all love me. My mom always called them my "built in best friends," and although I didn't always see it that way I do now. In Little Women Jo says, "I could never love anyone like I love my sisters," and I know how she feels. So to say that I don't care if we have boys or girls might be a little bit of a lie, because I wish everyone could have been raised with so many sisters like me.

(Kevin would argue that brothers are best.)

I ALWAYS felt the same...I grew up with sisters too. I secretly wanted all girls (but I'd never admit it). Fast forward. We had a boy first. He has been SO MUCH fun...all dirt, tractors, cars, and loud messes! I never knew how awesome boys could be. We just had our second boy 5 weeks ago, and to be honest, now I think I'd be more than thrilled with all boys!

I have four brothers...and no sisters. Although I love my brothers dearly and don't usually mind being the only girl, sometimes I wish I had a sister. Knowing that my family can be together forever makes me value the eternal potential of our relationships--having a close girlfriend is just not the same.

This was kind of long-winded, but hopefully you got the gist of it :)

I always wanted a sister. I was close to my cousins growing up but was always envious of their relationship with each other.

sisters make up for the best unconditional friends ever. I have two and even though I LOVE my baby brother there's just that natural connection between girls that's difficult to share with a brother

I loved having both. two sisters, and three brothers. Trevor wants ALL boys haha, I think he is too scared to raise a little girl :) haha
